MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT TOYS AND CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO OPERATE. FAILURE TO OBEY INSTRUCTIONS, TERMS OR LOCAL TRAFFIC LAW, CAN RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH, CONFISCATION OF VEHICLE, JAIL TIME, FINE AND/OR LOST DAMAGE DEPOSIT!
GENERAL TERMS OF RENTAL (incl. tours)
1) No booking is valid before 50% of total rental price has been paid to Motolombia, and payment has been confirmed in writing by Motolombia. The rest of the payment must be completed prior to hand-over of vehicle.
2) The vehicle may be driven only by an authorized driver named on the rental agreement.
3) If you do NOT have a valid Motorcycle license and valid Passport upon arrival we consider your booking as a no show.
4) Cancellation up to 60 days prior to rental will be subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of total, cancellation up to 30 days prior to rental will be subject a cancellation fee of 50% of total.
5) Credit Card must have sufficient credit to cover the deductible damage deposit before hand-over of vehicle or we consider your booking as a no show.
6) A full motorcycle condition report is made by an authorized mechanic and signed before and after rental/tour. Any damage or mistreatment concluded in the return report are final and are basis for the possible deduction charge to your credit card.
7) If you damage or lose the vehicle or parts of the vehicle or equipment or need vehicle recovery or assistance, Motolombia can debit your credit card for the losses according to the repair or replacement invoice and/or lost time and business or price of recovery.
8) In the event of an accident you must stay at the scene of the accident until the police arrive. A full accident report must be filled out by all parties involved and copies returned to Motolombia ASAP.
9) During the rental/tour Motolombia is not obligated to replace a damaged vehicle.
10) Rental is with unlimited mileage.
11) Always return vehicle with a full tank or return will be subject to an added service fee of $20 dollars plus fuel price (do not apply to tours, which all include fuel).
12) No refunds for early returns.
13) Rider must comply with local traffic laws at all times. Motolombia will pass any traffic- or parking fine or cost involved in retrieving the vehicle from police confiscation on to you with a $100 US dollar fee.
14) Motolombia strive to ensure that you ride the vehicle you are confirmed on. Unfortunately, at times, certain unexpected and uncontrollable situations arise, this includes, but is not limited to, mechanical failure, collision damage and theft. Should Motolombia not be able to replace a confirmed vehicle with the confirmed type or similar, a refund for the difference in service will be refunded to you. This constitutes the maximum liability of Motolombia.
15) Motolombia is not required to make refunds once the rental period or tour commences regardless of the reason for you being unable to complete the tour or rental period booked.
16) Situations may arise which, in our opinion, make it necessary for us to advance or postpone a scheduled tour or rental, change itineraries or make substitutions regarding hotels, cities, sites, tour guides and other travel arrangements. In that event, we do not assume responsibility or liability for any resulting losses, expenses or inconvenience.
17) In case of a cancellation you will be notified right away. Motolombia will refund payment in full, which will constitute the full settlement. Motolombia is not liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by you due to the cancellation. This includes, but not limited to the cost of pre-paid airline tickets, hotel reservations or automobile rentals.
18) Motolombia have the right to, at anytime, change prices, availability, limit rental, refuse any client to participate in any activity. This includes, but not limited to refusing handing over the vehicle or limiting riding in certain areas, if we find this to jeopardize the security or safety of you, other clients, tour guides and personnel, the vehicles and equipment or any third party.
19) The rental vehicle shall remain the property of Motolombia. You must return the vehicle on the agreed date and time or failure to do so will result in charges being applied.
20) Vehicles are only to be ridden in Colombia, unless other arrangements has been agreed upon and stated and signed by both parties in writing separately.
21) Colombian law requires that you, at all time, carry original Ownership Paper, original Insurance Document, your Passport, your International Drivers License and a written permission to use the vehicle from the owner, Motolombia. Failing to do so may result in getting the vehicle confiscated and towed by the police. Any cost involved in such an incident shall be covered by you.
22) When riding on public roads in Colombia you are required to wear a orange vest with License Plate number on the back as well as on helmet. Failing to do so may result in getting the vehicle confiscated and towed by the police. Any cost involved in such an incident shall be covered by you.
23) Photos and videos produced by Motolombia or its representatives are the property of Motolombia. The copyrights rest with Motolombia. Motolombia can use all such material for advertising and marketing purposes, including images in which you can be recognized, without any charge arising for Motolombia for the use of this material.
INSURANCE
- All rentals include obligatory 3rd party liability insurance (SOAT).
- A deductible damage deposit will need to be confirmed on your credit card before hand-over.
- We recommend that you take out adequate travel, health and accident insurance as well as trip cancellation insurance as this is not covered by us.
ACCEPTANCE
- I have read and accept the terms and conditions of Motolombia. I’m aware of the risks involved in riding a motorcycle and that traffic conditions, roads, weather and other conditions as well as the actions of other riders can influence and magnify the risks. I accept these risks. Furthermore I agreed and understand that Motolombia, are not the guardians of my safety and they, individually or collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with the operation or my participation in connection with any tour or rental, which might result in injury, death or other damage to me, my property, or my family, heirs, assigns, or others.

i always make sure that i got a hotel reservation at least 1 week in advance to ensure that i got a reservation -:.

i always get my hotel reservations in advance specially during peak seasons.”
