Hey great website!
I was hoping to find out if you had any bikes for sale because me and my friend are looking to purchase 2 bikes capable of making the journey down to Argentina also I’ve tried to do a bit of research on the problems of buying a motorbike in colombia and reselling it in Argentina.
Is it correct that we would only be able to resell them in Colombia?
I’m currently traveling in costa rica and will be meeting my friend in Colombia on the 1st of April.
We will pop in to see you then but any info would be greatly appreciated beforehand.
Cheers,
Joe
I live in Costa Rica where I ride a lot of wonderful double and single track that this country has to offer. For visa reasons I need to travel outside the country by the end of Janurary and am thinking of seeing a bit of your part of the World.
I may be traveling alone though I intend to mention this opportunity to some friends as well. I have heard wonderful things of Cali and the nearby surrounds, so my thought would be to day trip / overnight a few days on two wheels with an ATV tour or so thrown in the mix over 5-7 nights stay.
For what I envision there; here I would be on a 450 EXC and 700 Kingquad. I sadly see you sold the 640 adv. from your stable.
Currently looking at 25/01 – 02/02 arrival departure on Avianca (dates not firm). Would you be so kind as to provide your possibilities and suggestions for an interest such as mine?
Hello Mike – remeber me from last Dec/Jan? I rented the KLR for a week and ended up spending most of my visit in Salento. I plan to be visiting Colombia again 20,Dec to 7,Jan. Would you have a moto avaiable for 8 days in that time (possibly 24Dec- 3Jan? I don’t have specific plans as yet, although I will be spending a couple of days in Medillin initially.
I’ll be spending this upcoming holiday season in Cali. I arrive on December 22nd and wanted to know if you will be offering the ATV tour to las tres cruses on the 23rd? or any day after that? Do you offer any tours during the feria de cali week?
I know its a little bit early to be asking but I’m just trying to plan ahead by the way congratulations on such a great website! it was really easy to navigate and has a great layout.
Ill be arriving in Cali tonight until the end of the weekend, which doesnt leave me enough time for a weeks tour on a bike (which Id love to do!) However Im interested in doing a day tour, possibly a two day tour. Have you got anything going at the moment? If not, Ill defintely visit you guys about renting a 650 on my own, if thats okay?
estoy interesado en realizar un tour en motocicleta,me podrian informar cual es la la fecha del proximo tour de 7 dias que tienen e informarme si el costo es de $2000 ??
$2000 Dolares Americanos ????
Excellent idea for a business, guys! I wish I had a bike on my last visit! I will be posting about this on my site. Feel free to put my link in your links section, if it suits your aim.
Well, yes but you’ll probably have to just rent a bike a go out on your own, as I won’t be able to do a guided tour these days. I leave on tour 25th and return 31st in the evening. But maybe my mechanic can take you out for a day ride. He has a Suzuki V-strom. The bikes available for the dates you suggest are KTM 640 Adventure, Suzuki V-strom 650 and small 125cc Discover.
Anyway let me know if you want to go ahead and what day and I’ll make the arrangements!
Hey men, I’m looking forward to go to Colombia, is there any possibility to go for a one day ride? I know you are leaving for a wonderful journey and I wish to go but I can’t. I’ll be in Cali on March 26-28.
Well I’m a Dane, but I guess you’re talking about my new country Colombia
Anyway, in Colombia you can only bring used vehicles in on a temporary importation permit for up to 6 month per calender year. You get two month on entry and then have to go an extend every month up to 6 month maximum.
I have heard of people who have managed to get their bikes in and extend it longer on a work visa, but I was just denied to bring in a US registered bike last month on my residency visa as the customs say the law has been tightened as the temporary importation permit is only to be used for tourism, not work or residents.
Hi Mike,
I will be working in your great country for about 1 to 2 years and I will love to take my second wife a R1200GS Adventure with me do you think is possible?
I know there’s a boat from Miami to Cartagena once a week. They take crated bikes in a shared container for about 5-600 dollars. But the shipping agent that has the contact information I do not recommend what so ever. I think its better to go directly to the boat.
Second option is to fly it down from Miami to either Medellin, Bogota or Cali. Price is about 1000 dollars. I know Arrow Airlines have a flight and I think Copa Airlines fly via Panama city as well.
Good luck and do come see me in Cali!
Cheers
Mike
Hi I`m looking for contacts with the shipping company which can ship my motorcycle from North East USA to Colombia and when I finish my trip send it back. Can you recommend somebody?
Hey Nina
There are like 10 Nina Bains on facebook Which one are you?
Anyway, depending on what kind of tour and for how long you’re planing on riding there’s a possibility we can work something customized out for you guys. Otherwise its quite cheap to come down here to Cali and do some mountain riding on the ATVs here and it will of cause also be cheaper than me coming to Medellin with bikes and truck and so on!
Please write to my email address for more information.
